Orson Hill Realty and Dan Skelly have been on the side of the homeowner (Taralyn Romero) and against Jefferson County from the start. We are a little disappointed and feel slightly used. We feel as if we and all the people that rallied to her side for property rights were pretty much just used for her to get a larger payout. It was about property rights so whatever Romero decides to do with her land is her choice (that was our argument from the get-go) but we can’t help but feel like we were just used for her leverage to get more taxpayer money. That was not what I pictured as an outcome. There was no real legal decision if the county could continue their land grab. Our intention was to assist and help with our support with stopping the county from doing this to anyone else. No one has benefited here except one person.
