The Denver Foothills are one of the most beautiful places in Colorado and one of the best places to live. The Denver Foothills are just west of Denver CO. The area is beautiful with rolling hills and mountain views. With tons of outdoor activities and things to do. The Denver Foothills consists of Evergreen, Conifer, Morrison, Bailey, Golden and all the other small mountain towns.

Where are the Denver Foothills?

The Denver Foothills is one of the most beautiful areas in Colorado, but where is it? The Denver Foothills are west of Denver on the western side. This means that is directly west of Denver, just above Denver, east of Boulder, and south of Colorado Springs. When was the Denver Foothills founded? The Denver Foothills are the namesake of the greater Denver area, originally named “Aurora” in 1858. The area began as farmland, known for its quality produce and grazing. In 1886, several families, hoping for better farm lands, purchased land north of what would become Denver, and founded the town of Evergreen. In 1890, Evergreen began to grow rapidly with the arrival of the Colorado & Southern Railroad.

Prairie Dogs The prairie dogs of the Denver Foothills are not just at Buck Creek, but scattered all around the area. One of the best places to see prairie dogs is at Northwest Parkway near the golf course at Big Springs.

Why move to the Denver Foothills?

Getting to Denver is easy and convenient with Highway 285. In fact, the 2 hour drive to downtown Denver from the Denver Foothills is my favorite part of living here. It takes a good 2 hours to get into downtown Denver by highway 285. The other great thing about living in the Denver Foothills is the easy access to the ski areas. It’s very easy to get to the slopes of Loveland, Berthoud, Breckenridge and Vail by car. Once you’ve gotten up to the mountain village you can catch a gondola or a train that takes you straight up the mountain. All you need to do is hop out of your car, buy your lift ticket and ski away. The great thing about living in the Denver Foothills is the nature that you can see from almost every city and town.

What is there to do in the Denver foothills?

There is so much to do in the Denver foothills and around Denver. In Denver you will find a beautiful mall, Uptown, Five Points, LoDo and the amazing Coors Field, one of the best places to see live sports. In the foothills you will find shopping, dining, hiking and fishing. This is a great area to be outdoors as there are hundreds of great hiking trails. You can drive your ATV, mountain bike, go fishing and many other fun things. Why I have moved to the Denver foothills? I love the mountains and decided I wanted to move and explore some new places. I loved the life in Denver but had the opportunity to move somewhere beautiful. It was definitely a hard decision to make as Denver is such a beautiful place to live. It is a great place for a family and I love the schools as well.

The best part of living in the foothills

There is a ton to do outside in the mountains in the summer and the cooler months of the year. There are great hiking spots, great skiing spots, tubing spots, biking spots, and so much more. Winter is where you really can get out in the mountains and enjoy the snow. With the holidays just around the corner there are a ton of family activities going on, which is perfect for the entire family. You can enjoy night skiing at resorts and there are tons of family activities like ice skating and sledding. The one thing about the foothills is that it is not the loudest of places. The Denver Foothills have a great layout to it. A lot of people have an idea of what the Denver Foothills is like, but once you get here you quickly realize there is much more to see and do.

There are tons of outdoor activities to do There are tons of bike paths, trails and mountain biking trails throughout the area. From the famous Cherry Creek Bike Trail, near the city of Denver, to the hike to Horsetooth Castle, near Fort Collins. In the Denver Foothills there are 24 golf courses to choose from. The Foothills has beautiful scenery There are several state parks throughout the area for camping and hiking. There are also several other beautiful areas in Colorado. Some of the hiking trails There are many trails that you can hike. The Cherry Creek Trail is one of the most famous trails in Colorado. There are great places to stay Many hotels are affordable and have beautiful views.
