The History of Lakewood

This park is great for all ages and is affordable as well.

Schools and Education

For learning Lakewood, Colorado is known for the HOA (Herscher Elementary School) and our neighbor school Madison Woods. HOA Herscher Elementary School is a dual language program, which means English and Spanish are taught to the students. Parents and guardians with kindergarteners and older are required to have kindergarten entrance testing, which is considered a required step in this program. Madison Middle School is a nationally recognized STEM School, which means that all 4th graders and 7th graders get to take STEM classes. Parents and guardians with students in 4th grade and 7th grade are required to have a report card where the parent has the option to show grade of achievement, growth or need for improvement.
